              The Olney bar bag
Designed and sewn by me, these water-resistant 5L handlebar bags are constructed using EcoPak (a waterproof, durable, and lightweight fabric using 100% recycled polyester and a non-toxic DWR coating) and an abrasive-resistant cordura for the back panel. The back is reinforced with a flexible plastic insert to help shape and stabilize the load.
The bags feature a metal G-hook closure for durability and usability with gloved hands, side cinch straps to secure load, as well as stretch pockets on each side which make smaller items more immediately accessible.
Multiple strap locations on the back accommodate any width of handlebar and allow for 2 head tube strap positions.
Dimensions:
16” (unfurled) | 8” (rolled) tall x 12” wide x 3.25” deep
The original version of this bag was designed to hold a minimal sleep kit for riding the Oregon Timber Trail and has since seen several 100-mile-day adventures, my daily commute to and from work, as well as last minute runs to the grocery store. Small improvements have been made in this iteration based on personal use and testing.
For a tidy load fold the two corners inward when rolling the entry closed. I use 9” nano voile straps and double wrap the bar. 6” will also work.
The bag is not seam-sealed. Please note that the front panel on the patterned bags is cordura, backed with ecopak. If a colorway is out of stock feel free to reach out max@mostlyforever.com
Weighs 241 grams (~8.5 oz)
